Communication Is the Job
Inspired by Boz episode
Boz takes the L when Meta teams build the wrong thing—communication is the job. Same with parenting your partner, honestly.
Boz says communication isn't overhead at Meta—it IS the job. Context sharing, alignment, getting everyone on the same page. That's the whole gig.
Cool. Because you're about to spend seventeen minutes explaining why we don't eat rocks. Not once. Every single day. Different rock, same speech. "We've talked about this. Rocks aren't food. Yes, I know it's shiny. Still a rock."
And you can't just say "don't eat rocks" and walk away. That's not communication. That's wishful thinking. You have to share context. Build alignment. "Remember yesterday when you tried to eat that rock and your teeth hurt? This is also a rock. Same outcome."
They'll nod like they get it. Then tomorrow, new rock, same meeting. Communication isn't the extra part of parenting—it's every single part. You're just a context-sharing machine who occasionally provides snacks.
