You've decided your toddler is overtired. That's adorable. That's not data, that's a theory you're about to defend like it's your thesis. Try early bedtime Tuesday. Observe. Take notes like you're running a sprint retro. Wednesday morning you'll discover you were completely wrong and also the problem was dairy all along.

Torres says sometimes you make a risky bet, but keep making bets while doing discovery in parallel so eventually they get better. Your parenting instincts aren't gospel - they're hypotheses. The difference between you and a scientist is the scientist expects to be wrong. You're out here defending "he just needs more outside time" like you're protecting intellectual property. Test it. Your hit rate will improve dramatically, and you'll waste less time being confidently incorrect about why she's screaming.
