You can't fix what you haven't defined, and yet somehow we're all out here winging it. Gibson Biddle says start by defining what success looks like. Great! So what DOES successful parenting look like? Everyone's made it to bedtime alive? Bar's pretty low.

Here's the problem: you're optimizing for metrics you've never actually written down. Are we aiming for Harvard or just "didn't require therapy"? Independent thinker or obedient listener? You're pouring all this energy into something without knowing if you're winning or losing.

Product managers would never ship without success metrics. But parenting? We're all just guessing and hoping the demo doesn't crash at the grocery store.

Define it first. Otherwise you're just iterating blindly while everyone else judges your roadmap from the sidelines.
