Cool framework. Here's the problem: your four-year-old already invented this. You've assembled 47 Lego sets. You KNOW the red brick goes there. But if you say that, you're the enemy. So instead you ask, "How do YOU think we should build this?" Suddenly they're explaining their galaxy destroyer spaceship that's also a submarine that's also a pizza restaurant, and you're nodding like this is a legitimate engineering decision.
Conley says people won't notice your wrinkles as much as your energy. Kids are the same. They don't care that you're exhausted—they care whether you're actually interested when they show you the same drawing for the 400th time.
