Sort Your Day into Four Buckets
Inspired by Anuj Rathi episode
Anuj Rathi's Four BB framework. Not all tasks deserve equal time.
Anuj Rathi has a framework for prioritization: Brilliant Basics, Bread & Butter, Big Bets, and Breaking Bad. Every task fits somewhere. Except you're treating laundry like it's going to revolutionize your Q4.
Brilliant Basics are the non-negotiables. Fed. Clean-ish. Not actively bleeding. The bare minimum that keeps CPS off your doorstep. Bread & Butter is the maintenance grindâgroceries, dishes, that pile of clean laundry on the couch. These tasks will never transform your life, but skip them and you'll be ordering pizza for the fifth night wearing yesterday's pants.
Big Bets are the actual game-changers. The bedtime routine that might buy you two hours of silence. Teaching them to pour their own cereal. Breaking Bad? That's the soul-sucking stuff you need to kill. The activity you agreed to when you had energy. The parenting Instagram account making you feel like garbage.
You've been spending all week perfecting sock drawer organization when you could've been teaching your kid to make toast. Four buckets. Stop confusing them.
